"Ecke's Relief". Item of national significance.   Dates from 1618 22 Skarnu Str.

The main emphasis of composition and the most splendid element of the Ecke's house was a memorial site (sign) with the stone moulding "Christ and the sinner" with a Mannerism-style border ornament that dates back to 1618 (it is possible that the ornament was made in Nirnberg). The dynamic composition of the moulding is made in slender plastic forms with great professionalism, which demonstrates than the masterpieces in the best art traditions of Europe of the 17th century have appeared in Riga. The decoration of the upper and lower part of the moulding is significant as well.
