Commercial School; now - institute of higher education

In the early twentieth century Esplanade was partly covered with buildings. The Commercial School (1902 - 05, architect W. Bokslaff) and State Museum were built. The Commercial School represents the brick Gothic style; with its liberal, functionally grounded asymmetric planning it fits well in the surrounding landscape.
